MARITIME SCHOOL IN BRATISLAVA is a maritime training center that provides professional courses for seafarers according to the requirements of the international agreement STCW 1978 as amended in 2010 (Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 as amended in 2010). The courses include Basic Safety Training and the necessary advanced courses, a full list of the courses we provide can be found here.
Until the end of 2019, our training center, in addition to the above courses, also trained future maritime officers. The three-year training focused on the Operational Level in the deck department – for future watchkeeping officers (navigators) as well as the Operational Level in the engine department – for future watchkeeping engineers. Several our graduates achieved highest level in merchant marine already – Master Mariner or Chief Engineer. Many others are in senior officers positions and they will soon pass exams for Master Mariner or Chief Engineer.
The Maritime School in Bratislava is organized by the Association for Maritime Education.
